Zinc oxide varistors are semiconductor non-polar electronic ceramic components manufactured with zinc oxide as the main material. When the voltage applied to both ends of the varistor reaches a certain threshold, the resistance value of the varistor rapidly decreases, thereby playing a voltage reducing role in electronic (power) circuits and protecting other components. Zinc Oxide Varistor are non linear resistors utilizing semiconductor ceramic elements which are mainly composed of zinc oxide When the applied voltage on both terminals reach the large value, the voltage of electronic circuit would be reduced to protect the other components
